Hi, Posted a few times in my exit back in 2017. Since then i've 'lurked the board' as made peace with leaving the church. I still do go occasionally to sentimental services and activities, plus I get a lot of business from church members. #youcanbuyanythinginthisworldwithmoney Are there many other UK members on here? Is the church a sinking ship as much as I think it is? I found out tod

He looks evil and away with it. I left thin 2017 with much hatred towards it - however I do fee) Tommy Monson was a genuinely good guy and had love for its members and not their money. I felt great sadness when I heard he passed away.

Searching for an email today and came across old emails of Branch Council Meetings (I attended first as clerk then as member of Branch Presidency before leaving). Brought back some memories as I skimmed over a few. Looking back, it was mostly two hours of wasted time and bitching and certain people trying to appear very important and righteous. One memory sticks out of a retired police in

Heard this joke, put the Mormon variant on it. Imagine opening your Sacrament meeting talk with this.... The Stake RS Presidency die in a car crash on the way back from their latest meeting. They get to the gates of Heaven and Jesus greets them, but says before going onto the veil, they must pass a small test. He asks the 2nd counsellor, who was the first woman on earth? She replies &q

I was clerk in my branch for a long time. We had a new member come in and used sacrament meeting f and t to speak about the blessing of being in a scheme where sell phones and make money by inviting others in. She asked me for the ward member list so can get in touch with everyone and get them started. I told her no way and wasn't get involved in what was clearly a scam. She left soon after.

Attended ward in my area today (Scotland) - like to sing the carols at Christmas and still have friends at Church, so it's never an unpleasant experience. Proof that Joseph's Myth church isnt true though - called a workshy, lying, lazy benefit cheat that married a recent (rich) widower as the Stake Self Reliance specialist. What she can teach about that really puzzles me. Proof its all abou

Strong member for nine years, apostate member for one and inactive/off the rolls since 2017 and happy! Attended a small branch in Scotland which is now on last legs. Headed to NYC week commencing 14 Sep, would love to meet some fellow ex mormoms for coffee and chat. Is it right aswell that the original Adam and Eve attend the NYC ward?

Bit the bullet today and went to Church. Wanted to sing some Christmas carols so thought why not, it's only an hour and won't be so bad! I joked with people I knew and still friends with at Church - I'm here on an Undertaker style appreance. I show up a few times, then disappear again after the big day. Wrestling fans will get that reference. Some observations; Meeting started late as pe

We had an apparently golden convert set for baptism in my last few months of 'activity'. I attend and was even on branch presidency, but I hated it and was leaving after Christmas. Anyway night of this girls baptism she just never turned up. Nobody knew why. I went out clubbing that night with some friends. Guess who we bump into. This girl who was supposed to be baptised. Said she had second th

So does this mean that even in Sunday Relief Society class, a member of PH will sit in to 'check up on them'?

Michael Ballam as Satan in the 1992ish video is the best part of the whole temple ceremony. What a villain! What a performance!

HPGL in my old ward was in love with himself and would belittle and chastise anyone who didn't follow his agenda. A friend and I were sharing my phone during priesthood meeting that he was teaching to look at manual online. Had a funny text - cant remember what but we giggled a bit. This asshole seen us and screamed maybe we should be teaching the class if find his lesson so funny, shouldn't

Looking at him makes you wonder if He'll even make it to conference. Anyway obvious he's just the face. We all know Oaks is running the church behind the scenes.

Another time, was in car with a different set of missionaries, they phoned their DL's in another area. Was on loudspeaker, could hear in background a lot of giggling with girls and shouting. Turns out these DL's were fooling around with couple of ysa female members most nights. You send kids on missions, they act like kids I guess.
