Today I proudly signed the SUU protest petition seeking to disinvite Jeffrey Holland as commencement speaker. Holland used the intellectual “musket” metaphor in defending LDS Church Doctrines in opposition to the LGBTQ movement. While signing I had an interesting thought: Why has the LDS Church forgotten it’s very foundation was built on an alternate sexual lifestyle? Comments?

I just can’t resist chiming in on this White Horse Prophesy subject. Honestly this crazy belief should have been put to rest decades ago. First, and for the record, the WHP is promoted by fundamentalist (polygamist) splinter groups and is not doctrine within the COJCOLDS. Anyone who read the official Church statement issued during Mitt Romney’s bid for the presidency, knows the WHP is no

Does anyone on this board have reliable attendance stats for this years Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti, Utah? Attendance has been trending down in recent years and seems to reflect overall activity rates for the dominate Utah religion.

I don’t remember the exact title, but it was “I’m So Glad When Grandpa Comes.” There was a line in that song that said he was always “happy and gay”. The words have been changed since the gay movement started, but it always made me laugh.

If you want to silence your critics, and stop them cold, just remind them Thomas S. Monsoon didn’t serve a mission either.

I grew up in Sanpete County, and remember my mother calling graduations on a ruler “eench.” And here’s a doozie...”Lard Flarance, ur arckid sure looks good on ur farmal.”

No one has yet mentioned the $1,000,000 dollars given to each of the chosen 15 when the sign on for duty. Grant Palmer Sufficiently documented this prior to his death. Text can be found on Mormonthink.com. It’s amazing how loyalty can be purchased with money.

Please don’t overlook the money saving benefit of free tuition for GA children at Gods university. All paid for by struggling families and widows eager to purchase a seat in heaven. Simply blind obedience to self-serving bigots.

Am I the only one who is tired of hearing about Mormon claims of possessing the only true restored gospel on the face of the earth? Unlike the BofM, the New Testament is based on written manuscripts, and many copies were made,so any alterations or deletions would stick out like a sore thumb. I think Mormon leaders should be held to account for their claims of a complete Christian apostasy, as suc

I see where nativity scenes are highly discouraged at BYU. It seems they have too much difficulty finding two wise men and a virgin.

So, a Mormon Bishop and a Catholic Priest are walking along one day and they spot a particularly nice looking woman. The conversation goes like this: Catholic Priest: Hey, check out that chic. Wouldn't you just Love to screw her? Mormon Bishop: Out of what?

How many Mormons does it take to change a light bulb? It doesn't matter because they have been unable to see the light for nearly two centuries!

The pro-truth protesters and Evangelical Christians have been kept in check since the city fathers caved in and sold a city street to the Mormon Church. The Street passes in front of the entrance gates to the seating area. IMO, just more Mormon theocracy in live living color. Of course the city claimed the funds are earmarked for recreational facilities.

At the peak, in the 1990's, the pageant drew nightly crowds in excess of 20,000. Now the numbers are somewhere near half that. The locals always claimed divine intervention as no performances had been rained out until a few were doused by thunderstorms. Then the whole event was moved from July (a monsoon month) to June, a much drier month.

Does anyone have reliable attendance figures for the first few nights performances? I have watched these figures over the past few years, and interest seems to be waning. I grew up in Sanpete county, and still have an interest in attendance. The numbers must not be very good or they would be trumpeted from every tree, and tall building.

Howdy all! Long time lurker, first post. Am I correct that the DSS support the KJV bible, and say nothing even close to Mormonism? If that is correct, why all the Mormon talk of priesthood and gospel restoration. The scrolls discount every thing Joseph Smith wrote in his inspired version, and since no restoration was necessary, doesn't it eliminate the need for Mormonism altogether?
