Eve Plumb recently sold her house in Malibu that she had purchased in 1969 (when she was 11) for $55,300. The closing price was $3.9 million.

With Amerindians, there is quite a divide between ethnicity and heritage. It is not an anomaly for Americans who look very "white" to have anywhere from 1/16 to 1/4 Amerindian ethnicity, especially via what have been referred to as "the five civilized tribes" (Cherokee, Seminole, Chickasaw, Choctaw, & Muscogee ). This amount will decrease in subsequent generations, obvi

Bluster is often a smokescreen for severe social anxiety, which Donny has.

Peter Popoff has had a lot of commercials running lately. Since his old white fanbase died off, he's been targeting blacks.

Copyright dispute. The RLDS ended up with rights to the JST as a whole. The Morg could only use the incomplete manuscript they obtained in the 1840s.

Pretty sure the founder of the whole operation is still technically a member and thus has access to purchase various wardrobe elements.

The corporation will thrive regardless of the "church" element. It's a hedge fund comprised of two institutional investors organized legally as corporations sole, that also operates as a political lobbying group and a political action committee. The religious and humanitarian aid organizations exist solely for public relations purposes. But the "church" is showing signs of

My two usual DI destinations on the east side of the SL Valley are FULL of DVD & CD sets of recent General Conferences. Most of them are still shrink-wrapped. I recall when the audio & video of GCs were snatched up by all of the TBMs, with the belief that these were records of continuing revelation and essentially modern-day Scripture. Now they can't even seem to give it away.

Brazil's ethnic quagmire played a large part in the priesthood ban being lifted. Most Brazilians have some "Negro blood".

It was a French-speaking mission. I'm fluent in French. Mission president's initials were FJB. Besides the usual stats (they had 2 baptisms counted in all of 2016, the last full calendar year covered), everyone who had served in the mission had their own individual Word document with biographical info, notes on conduct, potential "worthiness" concerns, etc. The delicious irony was

We should value those who are still "in" posting here. They have the best perspective on what is currently going on with the rank-and-file.

The musical chairs of ward/branch/stake mergers & dissolves is primarily because the inactives are throwing the numbers out of whack.

Goodwill has a long-running program that routes more pricey collectibles to online sales. Unlike DI, they're interested in helping people.

That's another thing I have noticed about DIs here lately...more and more of the employees don't obviously fit into the disabled or refugee camps anymore. Most of them now are pretty much "white & delightsome" Utah Mormon types. Is actual charity and good works too expensive for the bean counters within LDS, Inc. now?

I literally laughed when I saw a $15 price tag on a Dell Pentium 4 PC made in 2004. It would cost about $15 a month in electricity to run it in any meaningful fashion.

I once ended up with a computer that contained very sensitive info from a European-based church mission. I knew something was up when I had to flip the voltage switch on the power supply back to 120 to power it on. Had MormonLeaks existed then, I'd have sent it straight over to them.
