I have Type 1 (insulin dependent) diabetes. When I was age 37 I was diagnosed with Type 1 and then I had to start injecting insulin because my pancreas was not working properly. Without that insulin I would have died within weeks. I am now age 77 and have had a good life. Historically I have needed to do "finger stick tests" about five times per 24 hours. That is necessary to ke

Many interesting posts here. I am the person who started this thread. My BIL is still hanging on. But the end is near. He hasn't eaten anything for five days. Hospice brought a hospital bed to his house and he got to that bed five days ago. He hasn't eaten anything for five days now so if nothing else kills him he will die from starvation. He gets an injection of morphine every two or

I want to commit suicide on the last day that I am able to do so. I have a brother in law who is about to die from cancer. About six months ago he was having a lot of pain in his chest so he went to his doctor. After tests and analysis the doctor figured out that my BIL had stage-4 cancer of the esophagus. The doctors started treating my BIL with radiation and chemo therapy. Initially

I am Type-1 diabetic and I had to start injecting insulin when I was 35 years old. I am now 76 years old so I have been injecting insulin 6 times a day for 41 years. That is a total of 89000 injections. Before injectable insulin was invented I would have died in about three months. Six injections a day is the reason I am alive today. Consider where you would be if your injectable medica

I formerly drank beer. I brewed my own beer when I lived in SLC Utah, The 3.2% just was not good enough for me. In 1998 I relocated to Maryland and now there is a liquor store a half mile up the street. So I bought REAL beer and boxed wine for many years. Then about a year ago my brother-in-law was diagnosed with stage-4 cancer of the esophagus. He is 68 years old and has been a heavy drin

You did the right thing by getting a hip replacement. I had my right hip replaced with a titanium hip just over 10 years ago. Now I almost never remember that I have an artificial hip. It feels completely natural now.

I call that person a fool. The smartest thing I did in my life was to become an atheist at age 16. I acquired one day a week to do as I wished instead of spending the day in the cult of J.Smith. That was 60 years ago and I have acquired 3120 days (60 X 52). Starting at age 16 I was doing 100 mile bike rides on Sundays in the summer and was skiing the deep powder of Alta on Sundays in t

Since you have figured out that the Mormon church is a fraud, then why not sever all ties with the church and go on with your life as a happy non-Mormon? It sounds to me like you are cutting off your nose to spite your face.

1. Set up a "janitor fund" for your ward. 2. All the prominent families contribute money to the fund. 3. A member who contributes should reduce their next tithing payment by the amount they paid into the janitor fund. 4. Find a needy family in the ward and appoint the man/woman as "the janitor." 5. Pay them a reasonable salary to clean the ward building, with the money c

The Mormon Church scam was a lot easier than doing an honest day's work. In the end it shortened Smith's life, which was a fair ending for the scam artist Smith.

When a child is being bullied because she opts out of the Bible Class then the school district should cease and desist from teaching The Bible. They have crossed the of separation of church and state.

The question is who pays the attorney fees and court fees. And how likely is it that the plaintiff will prevail? The attorneys will only accept a case if the plaintiff provides a substantial "retainer fee" which is an advance payment for the work that the attorneys will perform. They are NOT cheap! In a situation where the attorneys don't believe there is much chance of prevail

Not withstanding the warm feelings you have for The Church, it is not what it appears to be. Here is a link to a website that clearly explains the many major problems with Mormonism. http://cesletter.com/

I am a patient of a prominent retinologist, a man who is now about 55 years old. Ten years ago he was riding his Honda Goldwing on an Interstate highway that passes through forested terrain. A deer ran out into his path and he took evasive action to try to miss the deer. He managed to miss the deer but the motorcycle crashed off the roadway while going 70 mph. The doctor survived but he h

When I read about earthquakes like this I am reminded of the fact that the Wasatch Front in Utah is located along the Wasatch Fault. From geological evidence of past events o

Here on Exmormon.org you have been given excellent advice about the need to leave your mission NOW. You are clearly very unhappy and upset about your "job" as a missionary and things will not get better if you simply try to tough it out. One point that you should consider is what you will do once you leave the mission and return home. A lot depends on whether or not your parents w

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2016/05/26/woman-found-harbor-superbug-resistant-all-approved-antibiotics/84990300/ This doesn't bode well for the human race. At age 6 I had a serious nose infection. My doctor said the only thing that saved me was penicillin which had only become available a year earlier. Without effective antibiotics a large number of people will die every year from unt

We tend to underestimate the intelligence of an eight year old child. As my daughter was three months away from her 8th birthday, the TBM grandparents (my parents) were assuming that DD would be baptized. I had been totally inactive for fifteen years. One afternoon I had a leisurely chat with DD as we went for a walk in our SLC UT neighborhood. I explained to her what the Morg expects f

IMO your father's sadistic joke should be the last straw. I suggest you cease and desist from any contact with him. Let that be the first step in your healing.
