This argument makes literally no sense. Men are also oppressed by the Mormon church, yet they are also falsely told they are "special" and "powerful" through the priesthood through that church, and many of them seem to enjoy exercising it at the time even though they are, without a doubt, also oppressed by the church. It is possible to be both oppressed and to attempt to g

So, my story isn't the same as many here. I was a convert in (very young) adulthood and wasn't in nearly as long as many people here. But I still find myself negatively impacted by my time in the church in some ways. The shaming within the church and my own feelings of regret and embarrassment after I realized it was all a play on my vulnerability (I was very depressed and new in a city at th

I personally think it's all about moderation. Porn is all about being extreme, usually- the women in particular are usually highly unrealistic, not just because they're attractive but because most of them have gone to extreme expenses to get entire makeovers. Yeah, it's not the idea of porn itself. Porn can be absolutely fine, liberating, and fun in moderation. Watch thousands of extreme, degrading gangbangs instead of interacting with normal women (or even having sex with them)

I wonder if any of the people passionately defending today's porn have watched what's popular now? I like sex as much as anybody, but this isn't Playboy. It's not softcore porn or normal sex, or even consensual kink. The most popular commercial porn today is stuff that is objectively dangerous and potentially majorly harmful to women's bodies. Prolapse, burnout, exhaustion, etc., is very comm
