I hope you are correct about the marriage thing. I think you should have to wait until you are at least 25! The control and pressure they put on people is insane.

Speaking of infant mortality, it also pushed people to have more pregnancies. And that leads to more women who die in childbirth/pregnancy. As we have discussed here, that number is going up as well. I think that we are even discussing this is insane. Good lord, what next?

As someone who nearly DIED from measles I am all for the vaccine. I am lucky it didn't hurt my eyesight. My mother almost DIED from polio, I am grateful that I was given the vaccine. These idiots have been protected in the past because so many others were vaccinated. It's just a shame that the main people being affected are the children of the idiots.

This is interesting. I am looking forward to the follow up article. I am glad that they explained some of the increase of missionaries to include more of the girls. They really have changed the culture regarding female missionaries. There used to be such shame associated with them.

LOL! Sounds like Hub's job. We told you we wanted it to sing but now we want it to dance and do math too. But hey, it sings great! One of the great things about dogs, they have no boundaries with their servants. You can kiss and cuddle them to distraction :)

Awwww. Have a hug from me D&D. I know it must have been bad for you to feel like that. You do such wonderful work I can't imagine anyone could not be appreciative. I am glad someone that cared was there for you. I can see what you mean about instinct with people you know well. My problem is with people I don't.

Speaking of castrati, they are the subject of my favorite Anne Rice book. Nothing to do with ghosts, witches or vamps. She wrote great historic fiction when she wanted to. She references them in a couple of other places like Witching Hour. Cry to Heaven. Eighteenth-century Italy, bringing to life the decadence beneath the shimmering surface of Venice, the wild frivolity of Naples, and the

Hey Dagny, I owe you mail! River Gods is indeed a fantastic book. Great story and so much to research. It puts relatable faces to ancient history. That little dog looks a lot like mine but I don't think the ears are big enough to be a Pap. Scroll down to the bottom black/white pics. This is what my tiny girl looks like, these are her lines. They sure have the attitude of the one in th

Love the dogs! The whole thing was well done but the dogs are the stars :) We have been watching a lot of shows made in NZ, beautiful place. Since we started streaming, Acorn TV is our favorite find.

I watched a VERY good vid on this topic. The Bible Belt is cracking. The gay issue is big, people don't like seeing people they love demonized. Go figure. Covid showed people there were other things to do on Sunday. The cultural identity is shifting. Numbers are staggering and the pace is accelerating. Congregations that have been over 2K since the 1950s are now in the 300s. Buildings bei

So I was curious and went to one of those calculator sites. $400,000 Purchase Price $40,000 Down Payment, 10% 6% Interest Rate 30 Year Total principal & interest = $2,158.38 50 Year Total principal & interest = $1,895.06 So the difference is $263.32 a month but you pay for TWENTY MORE YEARS. Math is not my strength so please let me know if this is wrong. I hope I am wr

It's a cheap band aid. It gives the appearance of a higher standard of living. The people writing the paper will make a lot of money and the inevitable foreclosures will benefit them as well. One big problem is that people get all excited about what they "can" have and they don't do the math.

Thank you Claire. Between my connection problems and not being able to get in correctly I didn't get to go. Please do send the transcript to me. Is it OK if I share it with Nightingale? I see she had problems too. And yes, as she said, please do drop in if you would like. It is always nice to see you 'round :)

DUDE! I had not run into BaB content. I had not thought about that. I am working on the War of the Roses and Queen Victoria. OK, and a certain ex royal who showed up in Paris with Moo Deng skin. Thanks for the heads up. I have my eye on a Kuromi. It sucks that I don't have the excuse of posting pics of them here :(

Quora is another interesting space. You have to wade through some crap from time to time but it has a lot of good content too. My main interest there is history.

Thanks for letting us know Claire. I think the link is fine but I will run it past Eric. This sounds like the kind of thing Benson would like. I will try to figure out how to do it. I hope you are taking care of yourself. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

We feed Blue too. I switched to Evangers for a while but they changed to a sweet potato recipe. The girls didn't like it as much and it made more poopie. Mixed the two types for a bit and they were picking out the Blue so back we went. Small Breed Adult Chicken & Brown Rice.
