The question addressed in today’s Radio West Program “Why does the World Exist”? Few questions could ever be as vexing or confounding: why is there something instead of nothing? Faced with that inquiry, most people would just shrug their shoulders. The writer and reporter Jim Holt took a much different approach. This should be a good one to turn up when rigid TBM family members are near. You may know Larry Wilmore from his role as the Senior Black Correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, and if you do, you’re probably familiar with his insightful satire that lays bare America’s difficult dealings with race. Wilmore was in Salt Lake City recently, and he put together a television program

Romney family history/Mormonism flavor- We find Mitt Romney relation to Mormon icon, Apostle Parley P. Pratt. Wikipedia indicates Pratt had 12 wives and the practice did not fare well for Pratt in marrying his 12th wife as she was legally married to Hector McLean. Mc Lean (a non Mormon) who could not accept Mormonism tracked Pratt to Van Buren, Arkansas and murdered him for marrying his wife Elea

Often when an inquiring Latter-day Saint stumbles across the Churches faith destroying history and seeks clarification with the bishop, the questioner will find themselves in a worthiness interview or with no satisfactory answer at all. What I'm hearing Evan Wilcox say is he finds reconciliation in observing (opposed to the old fossils in the Church), that the younger generation in the Church is becoming more accepting of gays. What ever happened to the Church being lead by a prophet of God? Wilcox's journey I think is similar to many here, he just needs to come across the Churches faith destroying history.

Kendall Wilcox shares his "spiritual experience of reconciliation" while at the Sacred Grove in Palmyra NY. This is a powerful experience for Mormons, my question is how does one distinguish a true "spiritual experience" from a psychological or emotional appeal? How does on know this spiritual experience is not merely subjective? Radio West host Doug Fabrizio pounding him for

I think us Extmo's can relate and have empathy for gays in the Church. Kendall Wilcox apparently wants to stay in the abusive relationship. SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (kuer) - Last month, filmmaker Kendall Wilcox made a bold decision. He decided it was the right time for him to admit publically that he is gay. Of course, this process can be difficult for anyone, but Wilcox is an employee of the LDS

This from a blog about the book. People who have followed with interest the criticism that Mormons have received about performing temple baptisms for Holocaust victims will be interested to learn that it has been church policy for well over a century that members only be baptized for their own family members. Apparently, some things never change: We must be more strict in enforcing the rule
