Did you observe that in a circle most will cross their legs - the same way. When the real leader changes direction most all will follow!

I never refused an assignment ---- but I rarely home taught. My final home teaching assignment was to home teach two families - the Bishop and his family and a member of the stake presidency and his family. That I did by teaching "The Song of Solomon" for one "interesting" lesson and another from the NT which contradicted the teaching on polygamy (by teaching from Ephesians)

Ha, I have TWO middle initials, as do our two oldest sons. My full name is, thus, one that sometimes takes an extra line. At a church (Non-LDS) conference I had a roommate with no middle name, and a first name of only three letters and a last name of only three letters. BTW, middle names are important because names like mine are otherwise very common.

1. Russell is already President of the twelve. 2. Could the announcement be that he will not be the new prophet?

It is far more likely that the "prophet" is an agent of Stan and, thus, during the period without the "prophet" Stan is missing his right hand man! (NOTE: I do not believe in Stan.)

1. I was put on trial for "Apostasy". 2. I spoke for almost an hour. 3. I challenged them to either excommunicate me or do nothing. 4. They "disfellowshiped". 5. I appealed the decision. 6. I won the appeal. 7. The SP decided to try me again and I resigned, informing the SP and his counselors that they could....... 8. This can be found under: "Before the Sanhedrin

The protocol obviously required credentials to enter - so that there could be no possibility of any disturbance. Because of the time of year and travel, there were not enough persons with credentials - requiring interviews or positions - to fill the auditorium. I have only been there twice and it was NOT full even when tickets were readily available for a special event.

Baura, sorry it took so long for someone to recognize that your post was tongue in cheek. Unless there is a palace revolt, the "new" is older as noted above.

I, for one, returned to my roots. I was raised a Presbyterian, left to join the "Church of Christ", moved on to moism, now - though it is not perfect - am active as a Presbyterian. I know that no faith is perfect and accept that. But Moism is TOO imperfect.

Less guilty, probably, than the president. The thing that got Meacham was his election financing, etc. as well as things like trying to do away with Martin Luther King Day - claiming King was a commie or close to it.

There is a man in the WH who cannot distinguish truth from lies or fact from fiction. Indeed, he would be right more often if he merely flipped a coin.

The "Marble" in the Celestial Room in the NYC temple is only painted! I know catholic churches where I live and the marble is fine in a fairly humid climate and over a hundred years old.

Though we didn't say much, the kids knew that the Easter Bunny always came two weeks later because candy was at least half off; and as for Santa, they got a few dollars to BUY their own presents after Christmas - at 50-75 per cent off. We could not afford the Cabbage Patch doll one child want until the day after Christmas when it was 75% off! Adding: I always rebelled at the idea that I was al

The closest I ever came to believing in Santa was when I was waiting in line with my little brother and figured that, though I doubted, if believing would get me presents....I would kinda believe. That was only a short moment. As for TSCC I was horrified when, at ward Christmas parties, they would make a big thing of Santa arriving at the party! To me it was disgusting. Of course, TSCC also en

I have used polygraphs to make sure a client is telling the truth. What is interesting is that it helps because people will tell the truth when they think a lie would be caught. In some cases getting the whole truth makes it possible to convinces the prosecutor to reduce charges. It is important to be listening and watching because an incorrectly worded question may look like a lie in the answer.

I have observed, in court, attorneys who were clueless about areas of law. I was present in observing a case in which BOTH attorneys were clueless although they had both charged their clients fees in six figures! I told the judge (outside of the hearing of the parties) what the law is in the matter he had just heard. As for the Daubert Standard, I am quite familiar with the standards of expert te

I have been practicing law since 1970, including trial practice, and have never heard of the "Daubert standard" and only twice in my practice has there been a "Motion in Limine". I can also note that I am fairly expert on election law, not only in its application, but in my thesis at MIT in Political Science.

Maybe you and I are related, even if a couple of generations back! My mother had cancer and beat it twice but my dad died from prostrate cancer, both of my brothers have had and my only male first cousin. BTW my mother's lines go back to 1620 in America.

Amyjo, I presently attend a Jewish Bible Study. That is, it is actually called a "Bible study". Over the past ten months we have been studying Genesis and are now in Chapter 22. It usually takes the class about five years to complete the first five books of the Bible. The rabbi teaches a quite liberal group.

Actually, it was not the size that prevented removal but two other reasons. One was the real possibility that it could result in the cancer spreading and the other was my problem with bleeding when being operated on at all. I have come very close to dying because of the bleeding problem which is inherited.
