BELIEVE WHAT WE TELL YOU TO BELIEVE and if it changes every minute well, that is what the Lard tells us. After listening some to GC (until I could stand it no longer) and then reading Jimminy Cricket's GC crib notes, I find it hard to believe that any member with half a brain would not come away thinking, "The glass slipper just broke." Please, please tell me that my TBM family

Couldn't help almost laughing at another of Ochra's lies in this same rant when he said, "Both actions create the same effect, the loss of the Hold Ghost and his protecting, sustaining power. Vice and unhappiness always follow..." Did all of you ex-mo's realize that you are unhappy and into vice because Ochra said they ALWAYS follow if you are into porn or into paying attention to

I believe that to a certain extent the missionaries have been taught that if the "world" thinks they are weird in a negative way then that is their problem, because their Mormoney weirdness is great and has a positive twist. They are out serving their cult and their Lard and they are, well, just the best of the best. Once they decided to go on a mission, sent in their papers, they bec

Oh yes, the Mormoney church certainly is a loving example of how you should treat people. Let's see... the cult chooses to excommunicate some of its sinful members, pushing them far away, when the kind, caring treatment would be to smother that person with love, attention and friendship. Oh, and, as mentioned, it labels members who have left the church as apostates and even requires thos

Yomo, good for you that you dare to think for yourself and question. Also, glad that you chose to share your frustration with us. We are hear to listen, to share, to learn from each other. My mom was very prejudiced and voiced her opinions. She has passed, and she certainly was a product of her time in the views she had. It took me years to overcome some of the seeds she planted, and I w

I think this reveals much about the position the cult is presently in. There have been comments on this board about temples cutting hours in which they open their doors, as well as people noticing that some temple sessions are sometimes rather empty of "patrons". No new temples announced, BUT pay your tithing! It is required by the Lard. No new temples announced, BUT the church

I believe Oaks thinks we are HUGE IDIOTS. To me Oaks is one who thinks that because of his positions of prestige (lawyer, GE) that he has the right, the Lard-given right to instruct us and we should bow down in front of him with obedience and thankfulness because we do not have the capability of thinking for ourselves. We are not among the elite like he is. He is clever with words---such as

I'm not a lawyer, but I have been told that the Mormoney Church employs some very excellent lawyers. Add the fact that the church has way enough money to spend and political connections, and for the average Sam wanting to sue that adds up to big trouble. Any lawyers out there who could enlighten us?

...so we hope all of you blessed-to-be-mormons now truly realize that leaders and profits of the church speak as men and as men we have made mistakes, but that DOES NOT make the church untrue because we, as we have told you, are the ONLY true church on this earth. You who have left we want you to return (don't forget your wallet), women of Israel we want you to make more bread and pies for the p

I, too, feel that this conference could give some of the mormon people in my life the push to say something to me about returning to the fold. If they do, I will try to believe that they are doing it because they miss me, not to merely receive kudos from fellow church members for their efforts. My answer to them will be that my life is much happier and I am content and at peace with the place I

Two family members had disappointing experiences with counselors at LDS Social Services. One was a mish who came home early from a difficult country to serve a mission in. Only when this mish went to a non-LDS counselor were his religious concerns properly discussed and brought to the surface. Turned out he was afraid to share his concerns with a member of his own church. Another family m

I realize that church people, not just the LDS speakers, use showmanshp and drama to help sell their product. However, I too find it disgusting, distracting, and disengenuine (did I just make-up a new word ?) and it bugs the crap out of me. I have family members who turn into someone else when they pray. And, now I have grandchildren copying their parents who copy the general authority clo

Wouldn't surprise me to hear that there is a bunch of this bribery going on. How in the hell could they get kids to watch two hours of this baloney without it? Similar to the cheerios, candy, and such used for sacrament meetings/ I was not brought up in a home where we were required or made to watch GF. As I said on another post, I think I would have bolted.

Interesting to think that the major objective of the moron mish program is to keep the missionary a committed member of the church. I was thinking of it as second in importance, but I think that you are right or that it is at least tied with first in importance. I think the Mormoney church is running scared with the numbers of members leaving the fold, maybe panic is not too strong of a word fo

The grandfather said it well, didn't mince words, and said it straight from his heart. His grandson is very fortunate to have such an example in his life. I wish the best for all of them, and I do hope the daughter is moved to change from the example given by her father. THANKS for sharing this.

I think the cult was attempting to match what the Catholic Pope did in April. Can't let the great and abdominal church have the upper hand.

No, in my humble opinion, a mental health worker would not give this prescription because they would be LDS and would not dare, unless it was absoluteley necessary to send a mish home. Wouldn't it be awesome though to hear those words, or words such as these, "The mish is suffering from culture shock as he had no idea it would be so challenging and heart-breaking to serve in a country lik

The general clown who delivers tear-jerking-spiritually-up-lifting stories (think Paul Dunn) or witty lines and/or stories will sell the most books. Yep, the TV Evangelist=$$$$ certainly applies to the cult's so-called leaders.

"Conference is just depressing" so sums up the whole MormonInc. experience for me. It was all so depressing.....don't do this, followed by oh, and don't do that, followed by don't do this, followed by oh, and,,,,yeh, that is how it was for me. You can attend this fireside, but don't ask any questions that are embarrassing, don't dress like the world dresses, you are special, so act yo

Madalice, I like your descriptive words,,,"if they could turn off the mormonisms running through their head they would be blown away by the feeling of freedom. They would be amazed how far that tithing money goes, they would be amazed at how much easier it is to spend good quality family time together. Most of all, they'd be amazed at how much of life they've blocked off." Now, whe

I live in the Mormoney west and I believe there exists a racist attitude due to the cult's present actions and past profit teachings. I think the racist attitude is changing slowly but mainly due to affirmitive action that has proven to people that people of other colors are hardworking, caring, and are people with integrity when given equal opportunities. MormonInc. could really show they ar

I would add one adjective to this statement, which I agree applies to addictions and the Mormoney church equally..... Quitting is DAM hard, but it's worth it.

Yes, I think of a dear family member who has been so brainwashed by MormonInc. This person is very talented and giving, but oh, so worried about having the time and energy to do all that the cult demands. I think of what a "revelation" it would be for this person to live for, say six months, without these pressures and if this would be enough to get this person away from the cult.

Merci beaucoup. May your endurance and patience continue throughout the remainder of the Indoctrination of the Gullible Saints. I do appreciate your work, and especially your sharing your description of Moaning Monson. I'm happy to realize that someone else finds his facial expressions creepy and his voice whiny and insincere. From the first time I heard him speak years ago, I said that t
