5 minutes. It only takes 5 minutes to get through one of those lessons and thats WITH CLASS PARTICIPATION!!! Then you have to spend the rest of the meeting staring at each other or wandering the halls waiting for Primary to get out so you can go home.

So I went over to the church last night with my boy so he could do scouts, and I could 'practice' my new membership clerk duties. I actually have keys to the building. I get to the clerks office and it is locked, but the light is on, so I am thinking someone left the lights on. I turn the key, and open it and the Ward Clerk is in there by himself locked in already working on the computer. I guess

Okay, so in the last days, which are now right, there is supposed to be the gathering of ISRAEL? That doesn't just include the Tribe of Judah, or the Jews over there now, but 11 other tribes. Now my patriarchal blessing said I was a member of the Tribe of Ephraim, one of the Tribes of Israel. And they are going to be singing 'Ye Elders of Israel' which says something about bringing 'them to Zion'

1. The teacher had a student stick his hand over the target on a dart board and said that he was a good aim and promised not to hit him in the hand...well the student had to dart fly and hit him in the hand...then after treating him gave a lesson on trusting the arm of flesh. 2. A couple kids drove into the Jordan River and died. They were sluffing a seminary class (not his) but he then gave a

As you know, I am a NOM da NOM NOM. Well, I was called to be a Ward Clerk focusing on membership records. Basically recording when people move in and move out. I did learn a couple things though during my training. 1. Even if you're excommunicated, you are still in the database, with a big EXCOMMUNICATED or whatever, next to your name. 2. Over HALF the ward is a REQUESTED DO NOT CONTACT!!!

The Book of Mormon 1. A Broadway Musical produced back in the 20th Century based on some fictional writings of Joseph Smith Jr. 2. A historical book of fiction... I mean seriously, if this Broadway play get much bigger, when missionaries ask "have you heard of the Book of Mormon", people will start answering "Isn't that a movie or a play or something like that?" I fear

I just finished reading a book about Bacteria. About 10% of your weight is bacteria, about 90% of the number of cells in your body is bacteria. I honestly after reading the book got the feeling that bacteria was the reason for the planet. Not the humans. We are the aberration.

The Gospel of Mormon Jesus Chapter 1 1 The book of the generation of Mormon Jesus, the son of Elohim, the son of someone else, who is his Heavenly Father. However, to show that Mormon Jesus should have been King of Israel, we will give his Step Father Joseph's genealogy.  2 Abraham's wife, Sarah begat Isaac, however, because women are not that important, we will say that it was the men who

I was thinking it would be kind of hilarious to 'rewrite' the gospels, only to have the main character be a 'Mormon' Jesus, ie., how the Mormons actually think Jesus is versus what we actually read in scripture. It would involve Jesus going into the temple and rebuking the money changers, not for being money changers, but for not having a clean shaven face and a missionary haircut, and wearing

My 2 sons are the deacons quorum in the ward. 1 is the deacons prez and the other the first counselor. So they had some stake meeting for the priesthood REQUIRING all the 'leadership' on down to the Deacons presidencies to be there. They pulled them aside and some old codger lambasted them and their leaders, ie. the YM presidencies on how they are not passing the sacrament with the 'proper dec

Well, back in November, I officially decided to resign from Financial Services and Insurance. It wasn't going anywhere. Just calling on people all day and getting the boot. After about a year and a half I had had enough. Even long established agents are leaving the field I guess. The last thing people want to buy in a recession is insurance, they are too busy trying to get food on the table. S

John Dehlin, as much as I like his fair minded Mormonstories which looks at various things in the Church in a rational yet non confrontational way is the NOT what the church wants. They want him to shut the F up, pray, pay, and obey. They don't want anyone trying to reasonably point out how they can improve or what the members want. They don't care. The only reason why anyone leaves or has

If you are easily offended...leave now. I am about to get really really apostate. If I am not going to outer darkness already...this should seal the deal. Van Helsingus and Tirinus stood guard in front of the Tomb of Joseph of Aramethea, making sure that none of the Apostles of the so called "Messiah" aka., Jesus son of Joseph would come to try and remove the large stone they had p

Back when I was about 7 or 8, we used to drive to a white church house in the Rose Park Area. I think it was before they had correlation because I remember we used to go to one meeting, go home and then come back later for more meetings. So anyways, I was in Primary and they had to evacuate because the 'cultural hall' caught on fire. I remember looking in later and seeing how scarred it was an

You might want to make sure you remove the footnote notations from the scripture quotes so no one accidentally pronounces one of the letters. Logic Phalluses....ROFLMAO.

I was trying to strengthen my testimony by reading the apologist stuff to purify myself against that evil 'anti' mormon crap. So I thought I would read some of the stuff along with the FAIR stuff... and realized it made a lot more sense to my 'logical-intellectual' bent of how I had seen the world work in reality.

She and her husband were in the ward where he was a Bishop. She's in her 80s, so I wonder what the ward would have been like if she was a young woman.
