One more. My wife has a chronic illness. I prayed/fasted, was uber-righteous, did everything right. Used my magic PH powers to take it away. Didn't work. Each time she had do deal with a medical issue, I blessed her, didn't make a difference. Guess it was probably my fault. I'm sure I was a sinner, or maybe she was the sinner? Or, maybe it's all make believe? Of course, the TBM ans

I should add, I had a BIL that was addicted to cigarettes, wanted to quit, bishop gave him a blessing that he would quit, next day, he was still smoking and never did quit. So much for magic powers to make you quit smoking. lol

Giving PH blessings was always a big eye opener for me. Never had any magical powers/feelings/inspiration come over me and never had any magical healings occur from them. Hmmm

You may think it's okay to hit back if you're attacked, but, if a man does so, the police will likely arrest him, not the woman. Just part of the rampant misandry. Men have a great deal to lose if they defend themselves.

Sounds like you have a fetish. A violent one at that.

I have to agree with Freeman. This line is spot-on: "This whole issue with domestic violence seems to be all a war against men. If it was a war against abuse generally, it would include both men and women." The question itself is sexist.

Exactly. It has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with being a violent human.

Awesome! Instead of having links for each note, would it be possible to simply have the note there on the page, highlighted in another color. I want to share this, but wonder how many TBMs will just read the essay and totally miss the notes.

I disagree. If men must remain covered to be considered professional, women can do the same. Perhaps you are saying bare shoulders for men should be considered professional as well? And, to have a problem with that would be projecting one's own sexually charged thoughts onto the man.

No, no, he's not shirking his responsibility. Obviously he gave the man answers...I don't know, shut up, go away, pray harder...he's totally justified and has done his due diligence (from his perspective).

You are most likely making the wrong assumption here. I've never seen a "professional" dress code that allowed men to have bare shoulders. If a guy comes in wearing a tank top, or sleeveless dress shirt, it's a near certainty that he would be told to change. Are you advocating for men to be allowed to wear sleeveless shirts? How about skirts and dresses or the equivalent for male

Could you make a comment on her FB posts that says instead of making public posts about her needs, if she is truly so bad off she should go talk to her bishop, since surely he would be able to take care of her needs.

Isn't is forbidding women AND MEN from having bare shoulders while at their job? Is that a problem in a professional workplace? Now, if it says women can't wear dress pants and are only allowed to wear skirts or dresses, then, I could see the isssue.

I thought they weren't targeting the "average shoppers", just the wealthy elite that needed a more upscale place to shop. It's still the members fault though, because they aren't heeding the admonition of their leader to go shopping.

If you're looking for a big screen experience, sure, spring for the 2 bucks. It's 1.50 at red box if you want the home experience. It was an OK movie. I thought the acting was good.

Very weird. It's intact, if it had been dropped, wouldn't it have splattered all over? "Farmington| A dairy farmer from a small town near the Great Salt Lake in Utah, made an incredible discovery on his property while he was looking for one of his cows that had not returned. 69-year old Michael Woodson, found a 12 meter long humpback whale laying lifeless in the middle of one of his field

It's official... "The lowest rating anyone can give a movie, in case you’re wondering, is 1. Which means if 0 stars were an option, the score would probably be even lower. Need a basis for comparison? From Justin to Kelly is #23 on the Bottom 100 list. Cameron’s movie is worse than From Justin to Kelly." LOL http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2014/12/04/kirk

I'm not trying to defend the man. Personally, I've never cared for him too much. You may be right, that he's a rapist, or not. I just find it sad that all it takes is an allegation from someone to ruin a career. I'm still a fan of the innocent until proven guilty concept. The media, social and otherwise, seems to have demonized him already. I'll wait for the trial to make my judgements.

A TBM family member posted this on FB, and of course, it gets lots of likes from other TBMs. I'm not going to comment on it, since I've decided that arguing on FB is not productive. However, it still bothers me and I just need to vent. This article if filled with lots of mights and maybes to push their particular agenda. They admit specific numbers are unknown yet go on to imply that rese

I didn't realize you could be deemed unworthy in the CK. That's the great thing about myths, you can make up anything you want!

The story I got as a TBM was that there will be far more women than men because women tend to be more righteous and deserving of a celestial glory. Men (of course) are much more base (tending to give in to the "natural man") and should feel lucky that any woman would have them. So, only polygamy, since there will be so few "worthy" males. No sexism/misandry to see here!
