I think most people pass on their beliefs to their children which is why religions continue to be a thing. Personally, I think it would make more sense to pass on critical thinking skills.

Reminds me of Dumbo with his magic feather. Some people seem to need that crutch on which to blame their behavior, good or bad.

If you're anywhere near Nevada, here's a list of places to "get laid". http://nevadabrothelassociation.com/nevadabrothels/ If you're talking about a relationship, that's another story.

1. From the article: "Andrews said that she spent 18 months as a missionary. Andrews said in her statement, “I felt the most fulfilled when I was physically helping people. I really believed in the philosophies I was teaching, but just helping people clean up their backyard or put shutters upon their windows would absolutely make my day.”" 2. Most people that work in any ind

In some cases, that's true. For the others, it certainly would be a step in the right direction.

"Andrew concluded her press release by speaking glowingly about the porno industry saying, “I have the financial ability to put myself where I want to be. I never had that before. Being an independent woman and not having to rely on anyone else; to live a good life and contribute to society, that’s what pornography has given me. And it’s given me a sex life!”" Meanwhile, Utah

When I was a clerk, 7 years ago, the temple recommends were being converted to using bar codes, so they could electronically cancel them immediately. Assuming you don't have one, request but get denied, then move to another ward, the bishop would likely call your past bishop/s before giving you one. But, it is up to the Bishop. If you had some "very serious matter", they would p

For a minute there I was thinking this was going to be about the ever present junk drawer. You never know when something is going to have a purpose, but it's usually when you throw it away. :D

Your guesses about death are as good as any. As I said, I'm okay with the OP's version, if you're not, that's okay too.

It's a lot of assuming, but, to each their own. We can only guess what death would be like. Personally, I'm okay with the OP's version. I don't need to live forever. Our relatively short, unique existence is one of the things that makes life so precious.

Requiring suicide is absurd, allowing suicide is not. How do you know we won't become omnipotent if we live forever?

"I was aware as the anesthesiologist placed the mask over my nose and mouth for just an instant, and then the very next thing I was aware of, in what seemed to be no time at all, was waking up in the recovery room. During that hour or so of surgery I was aware of nothing. I was not dreaming. I simply did not have any awareness of existence. It was, I think, like being dead." The same

Awestruck? No. Shocked and disturbed? Yes The naked touching thing was my first red flag. Then the ridiculous costume including hat with a string. Then having to memorize lines and handshakes, WTF! Wouldn't an all-knowing god already know who I am? Then the chanting began. I remember thinking OMG, this is what cults do. I don't remember ever feeling like I was worshiping a Savior. Most

Selling foreskin is a profitable business. "Fibroblasts are what cosmetic companies have been looking for all these years. They are the key to growing new skin and are therefore widely used for skin grafts, pasting skin transplants over sores, and other skin conditions, which makes them great for cosmetic applications. One baby foreskin can be stretched to grow almost $100,000 worth of fi

Didn't answer the questions. Balanitis is an infection that you can still get even if you've been circumcised as it's due to poor hygiene. Phimosis (abnormal constriction of the foreskin) can lead to paraphimosis (a rare condition in which the foreskin of the penis becomes trapped behind the glans). A doctor can diagnose these things and there are antibiotics and steroid creams that can tak

Corrective surgery. The doctor attributed it to circumcision. "Numerous studies over a long period of time clearly indicate that male circumcision contributes to the development of urethral stricture." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meatal_stenosis

Obsession is an interesting choice of words. You may as well ask "why the obsession with Mormonism?" In both cases, I've been harmed. I don't feel obsessed with either, but, IMO it's not unreasonable to be willing to discuss and point out the very negative effects of both. And, considering there are many people that try to use religion as a justification for the routine mutilat
