So, if you reject the bible and are not bound by what it says, do you just believe what you make up about god? What source/evidence do you have for your claims about god or are they just fully made up?

Yeah, and some people believed that if they committed suicide they would be taken away on a comet. Some people once believed that if you threw a virgin into a volcano it would appease the volcano god and the volcano would not erupt.

An atheist, vegan, and crossfit walk into a bar...... And almost can almost understand them, well, not almost, more like almost not at all. Yeah, we've all heard that one. But thanks for making my point in such an obvious way.

I doubt it is even money at all. We know the brain organizes, stores and processes the information for the living, but nobody can explain how this is done after death of the brain. What organizes, stores and process the information after death? How is this transitioned at death? Why do we need a body at all if all this can be done without a body? Until someone can show how life after death

Keeping the anti-atheists talking is almost the best thing we can do. They almost completely discredit them selves with almost no input from the atheists.

TSCC is still anti-gay. They are against gay marriage for everyone, they just can do what they did during prop 8 because of the protests that followed. You can be mormon and have same sex attraction, but it is still an evil you can not act on. To have sex, you have to marry a person of the opposite sex. The supported equal rights protection ONLY if they and the companies they owned wer

Tomorrow is the day that SCOTUS will hear a marriage equality case that could make marriage equality for LGBT the law of the land. I thought I would post some memorable videos produced that helped get us to this point. I think the visiting graves is something that is learned while people believe in an afterlife. I was not raised with the idea of an afterlife so I never once thought that talking with a dead person made any sense at all.

To back up your claim " is less unhealthy than cigarette smoking."? Your original argument was there were not studies showing the health risks, you are claiming that cigar smoking *IS* less harmful. How do you KNOW this if there is, as you claim, no studies regarding cigar smoking? Yes, it is hard to follow you when your arguments seem to negate each other. Oh and AGAIN, to

I was raised with the idea that there was no life after death. I learned that the people were gone and that was it. There was no holding on and waiting until I die to see them again. To me it makes it easier to let go and get on with life. I know people that go to the grave of a loved one every year and every year they grieve again because they are holding on to the person still existing.

Billions of years went by before you were born and had consciousness, then that would be for less than 110 years at most. Now you assume you will live forever because you can not accept that when you are dead you are dead?

Subscribe to it or not, it is either true or not. Avoiding the truth because you do not like it isn't healthy. Avoiding atheism because you do not like the results is silly.

As I said, your argument still comes across as: Arsenic is poison that can kill you. There are no studies that show that arsenic mixed in applesauce will kill you so we shouldn't assume that arsenic mixed in applesauce is bad for you. As for the "heavy smokers" argument, as I have also said before, it is like trying to argue that cigarette smoking isn't so bad because smoking 1

Sounds like cigars, with the same carcinogens, are really bad for you as well.

Yeah, just like Mormon deny the evidence showing TSCC is not true. The same carcinogen, only more, are present. Yeah, they won't cause cancer because they did not come from a cigarette. Yeah, that is sound science. Where are the studies that show that the carcinogens that cause cancer form cigarettes is safe when coming from a cigar? What causes cancer with cigarettes would cause cancer fr

Indeed, 4 times a low number may result in a high number in regards to catching cancer. Here is a good read: http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/causes-prevention/risk/tobacco/cigars-fact-sheet

I don't have a uterus, but I do, rightfully, have an opinion on the subject. What I do not have is the right to *force* that opinion onto someone else. I can and do join the discussion regarding the reduction of abortions. I do this by trying to discourage practices that lead to unwanted babies.

It is my personal view, and I would not force that view on women that are facing the issue.

the first question is so invalid that I didn't go any farther. "is comprehensive, touching every aspect of life including issues of values, meaning, and identity" This assumes that life has "meaning". I see no reason to make such an assumption. It also assumes that all life has "values", again, I see no reason to make such an assumption.
