Yeah, a source would be nice. Of course, I can imagine morgbots who are this tone-deaf, but I can't see it coming out of a stake budget.

On the tuba, I think it’s safe to bounce back and forth between the 1st and 5th, oompah style, with no worries about whether it’s major or minor. ;) On the other hand, oompah may be too lively or upbeat for people who are more accustomed to droning funeral dirges.

Can a male RM hold a temple recommend if their hair length is way past their shoulders, and they also have a big mustache?

I recall the Barbara Walters interview when said that she wanted to ask about the priesthood ban. Donny confidently says, "you bet," like he's going to give an answer, but instead he deflects by claiming TSCC, even under the priesthood ban, offered "the black man" more than anyone or anything else (I'm paraphrasing from memory), and then defers to the big guys.

Yep. If a TBM never curses, and goes to TSCC every Sunday, and maybe even cleans the toilets once in a while, how would they compare to, say, someone who swears like a sailor and drinks an occasional beer, but they run a soup kitchen and homeless shelter? I'd respectfully suggest that the second person is more Christlike. Just my opinion. In other words, are you living to please the Pharise

Sad news. The actor who originally played Dumbledore also passed away, but after the second HP movie, when Gambon took the role. The actors who play Hagrid and Snape have also passed away, along with many others: https://people.com/movies/harry-potter-actors-who-died/ My late wife was a big Harry Potter fan. One of the things my daughters and I have done many times since she passed

I've heard Baptist ministers yammering on about this same thing, that it wasn't really alcoholic wine. Why does the Bible caution against drunkenness if they were only drinking grape juice? I don't think the Bible says any where not to drink wine. That's just what teetotalers WISH it said.

It's also a form of them trying to manipulate you with your own life circumstances. Their fraudulent imaginary relationship with your loved one is more significant than your own is. Your grief, not to mention reality, is not as "important" as their self-serving lies are. It's very contemptuous.

I agree with the narcissist perspective. My dad was the same way. To a narcissist, anything you earn, win or enjoy somehow "costs" them, even if it's not something that they want themselves. Attention paid to anyone else, and anyone else's pleasure, must be undermined. It's twisted, but that's what they do. They'll also try to take "credit" for your very same accomplishments.

I wonder if that church schism projects outside of Utah onto two groups: traditional republicans and the more populist republicans. ??? But I think wealthy republicans can belong to the latter group. For example, my late father, who was a retired military officer and had a small rental property empire, wasn't "rich" but was certainly worry free. Romney was not his choice in the prim

As some of you know, my wife passed away a few years ago. She was terminal for nearly two years, so we had a chance to talk about a lot of things. Sadly, dealing with TBM morgbots was one of them. We dreaded the thought of any of our TBM extended family members trying to claim they'd seen her in the temple, so we devised a system to debunk their claims. First, in case they claimed to haven sp
