If chocolate was on the forbidden list I for sure would never have joined! And I'm sure quite a few would join even if they had to postpone (or give up) sex but a chocolate ban would most definitely decrease the ranks of joiners and BICs alike.

Nice to see you DebbiePA. I remember you from way back. Yes, it's always sad when someone we like, love and/or admire leaves the scene. It's amazing how inspirational some people can be. They touch our hearts and can never be forgotten. Hope all is well with you.

According to the article, Randy is still keeping many. I'm sure if there are any that Tal wants he'd be likely first in line to obtain them if Randy was so inclined. Although, true enough, if my dad had anything, anything at all, worth a mill, I'd definitely ask for first dibs when he was done with it. I don't think parents are absolutely obligated to shower their offspring with goodies. Es

Yes I think it's fine. It doesn't come across as confrontational nor is it phrased in an antagonistic way. Of course, it's in the eye of the beholder.

When he said "It's too heavy for me now" I took it to mean because he's getting on in age. Interesting to know that no, it is actually that heavy. What makes it so?

That's very interesting, isn't it blindguy. Different rules for different folks perhaps. That's the way the world turns. Even in religion. (Maybe especially so there).

The everlasting honour amongst your RfM peers of being crowned Pretty Darn Clever! And a ticket in the cheap seats for their first home game (if I can persuade the coach - who that is or will be I have zero clue and how generous s/he may be - also not a clue - likely not very).

Randy Bachman, fellow exmo, AKA a Canadian rock legend (The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive) is selling some of his iconic guitars. His son Tal (also fellow exmo) mentioned one time a "Les Paul". "Is that a guitar?" I cluelessly asked. "Yes, NG, that's a guitar" he replied, patiently. I looked it up to find out that yeah, that's a nice instrument. (I ha

It's seriously unbelievable. I have NEVER attended another church of any denomination where anybody, but especially the pastor/leader inquires about my underwear. For a brief moment in time, when I had lost my mind for a bit, I was with the JWs and true enough, they thought they owned the rights to my clothing selections in terms of dress/skirt lengths. Modesty at all costs! Jehovah God doe

Yikes. So many numbers to wrap my head around, not my favourite thing. But enlightening (what I can comprehend of it). This does sound vaguely familiar now - likely we've chatted about it before. Too bad for Cdn taxpayers - we need a few breaks - like whatever keeping the $$$ up here could provide. The amounts of $$$ are astronomical. You'd think the church could give folks a break and reduce
