My uncle, Jackie Peterson, was convicted twice of sexual abuse of a minor. He was in the stake presidency at the time of the first conviction. He was not ex'd nor disfellowshipped. it's a bitch to track this, I've been tracking it for years, and only now finding *some* limited LDS vs non-LDS stat trends. The "high altitude" defense is pretty f'ing stupid. As a child, what sorts of things do you recall that contributed to your indoctrination as a young member of the church? For example, i recall "Follow the Prophet" as a song that told me I should always do what the prophet said. Or for the young girls, remember the used gum on the plate trick?
