I've been out the church for a long time, and after reading another thread, it made me wonder if there is still a "Special Interest" group of single adults.

Special Interest was morg speak for anyone over 30 and still single. In other words, the church had to take special interest in trying to get them married. Needless to say a lot of them were still single for a reason. And it wasn't because they were smart enough to see thru the BS. Those people had already left.

So, is there still a "special interest" group. If not, what is it called now. Or has it been completely done anywith with the invention of the singles ward.

Yes, it's called "Single Adults" - your a "Young Single Adult" until 30. Great names don't you think!

Some estimates I have read put the number of singles in the LDS Church (single, widowed, divorced) at around 30%.
