same word, occasionally the same meaning... ;-)

Well, I don't see the point, but

Dutch: vergeven means both forgiven and poisoned.

Sometimes it's nicer with one word that appears in two languages. I remember these from Spanish and Portuguese:

Ano: year (Port) or ass (Span)
Feto: fern (Port) or foetus (Span)
Tentar: to try (Port) or to seduce (Span)
Ligar: to call on the phone (Brazilian Port) or to pick up for a one-night stand (Span)

I remember a Brazilian mishie in Spain telling a female investigator "I'll drag you tonight" when he meant "I'll try to call you this evening".

The most embarrassing one I ever had with Italian and Spanish was burro. It means butter in Italian, but donkey in Spanish. When we moved to Spain my mother treated the whole ward to home made cookies with donkey meat. I mean butter cookies.

but also
