For those living in the Salt Lake Valley and the surrounding area, there is a support/discussion group for Mormons in transition.

We are meeting this Sunday at 12:30 P.M.

Location:

South Valley UU Building

6876 S. Highland Drive (2000 East)
Salt Lake City, UT

It's just off the I-215 Freeway. Just take the 2000 East exit. It's on the right next to the KFC.

Please contact Bill Dobbs, e-mail bellerophon22@comcast.net if you want more information, or just show up.

I highly recommend for anyone wanting to discuss their issues with Mormonism and feel support by others who are struggling. Some of us have already left the church while some of us are still involved in the church. Most of us are dealing with believing spouses, parents, children and/or sibling issues.

Bill is a great facilitator. He had gone through a stressful divorce, and realized that leaving Mormonism was a similar kind of traumatic, life changing, experience. He started the Religious Transition Group in March of 2003 so that people would not have to go through such a difficult life transition without help. He takes great satisfaction in the wonderful group support that empowers courageous men and women to live the life that they choose.

I'm glad my archived posts helped you see the light. I also have a website with posts I and others have made to RfM:

Your blog has inspired me to make my own. But I can build websites. So mine will be my own creation. No doubt yours was funnier though. I'm a big fan of RJ. But you knew that.

I read you in sacrament meeting. If I get the chance I'll quote you too.

I've been out of the church for ten years now, and I've found other interests. But I still maintain my web site and lurk here occasionally. Some of the board rules changed which put a real damper on my posts too.

It's nice to see you, Steve Benson, still carrying the torch.

. . . even if some board rules may crimp your style in certain ways.

C'mon back, man.

Those here recovering from Mormonism here need you here.
