One time, we set up a bunch of tables on Center Street (maybe it was Main, I forget) in the grassy median with white linens, got dressed up, divvied out corsages and took our dates down there for a picnic lunch. WTF was THAT all about?

This was my memorably mormon Valentine's Day.

As YAs we had a progressive dinner. There was this "older" guy who taught YA SS (we didn't have a YA ward in the small place I grew up--this was late 1970s so the smaller towns didn't have YA wards).

So--this guy kept asking me out and I'd just get out of saying yes somehow.

We got out of our cars at one of the houses and he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and carried me into the house. It is still one of those, "What the F*ck" moments in my life.

And I'm sorry EMR that you ended up at BYU. My sister went there and lived at King Henry--but that was around 1976. She's still "TBM", well, really, I just realized if I put beliving mormon, that would be "BM"--she is a "BM" and it fits--she isn't a TBM.
