just wondering about high council ....

How long does a high council member serve on average? Just wondering since the holier than thou family member's husband is no longer serving after only about 1 1/2 to 2 years.

Varies. Often HC is a used as a "farm team" for bishoprics and other callings. I have seen people only last in HC 4 months after passing the "vetting", and then getting called as a bishop.

And I know quite a few people...

who aren't quite savvy enough for direct leadership positions, but wise enough to be high council members most of their lives.

It totally varies depending on need and circumstance.
