"When I caught wind of a group of BYU students meeting to discuss the non-discrimination ordinances, I had to attend. I figured that whether they were pro or con, it should be interesting. I wasn’t disappointed. What I found was a small group of mostly straight Mormon students discussing what they can do to get the Provo City Council to pass non-discrimination ordinances, which would prevent discrimination in workplace and housing based on sexual orientation or gender identity."

I told him he was my hero.
He feels he can't leave BYU ( or the church YET) because of certain circumstances I won't detail here, but he is becoming very active with underground groups trying to affect change there in Provo and on the BYU campus.
Having conversations with him is like breathing fresh air. I have 5 children. 2 of them are so wonderfully perceptive and wise. He is one of them. I only wish I could have been so perceptive at his age. If I had been, I would have never joined the Mormon church in the first place and then all 5 of my children would be free of this crazy cult.
