Big Love - did they pull their script from RFM?

So many of our favorite issues were stated in last night's episode. The prophet lying to Larry King, horney joe's polygamy - Emma's denial. Wow - it helped a lot to be an insider - youngest son asked for an interpretation of Bill's dream as it makes minimal sense to a nevermo.

I only just saw another post on this

When I did a search for big love I was suprised that nothing came up.

Anyway - it was weirdly familiar - my DH used to work in the Utah state house. He was legislative staff. Church lobbyists were there frequently.

OMG I thought the same thing last night!!! I didn't totally get the dream - except the denial part - overall I thought the dream was weird. And Emma didn't look like Emma. This season is way better than the last one.

Emma looked like Mamie Eisenhower. I really didn;t get the 5os dress and hair.

Yes, I agree this season is better than the last.

I hope that Meri from "Sister Wives" is tuning in. I think she and Barb are very much alike. I want them both to leave those egotistical schmucks.

An aside...what do you think the symbolism was where Alby's wife (I can't recall her name) removed her false eyelashes.

Maybe just acknowledging it is all part of her "mask."

I liked the dream because it showed how Bill's mom is exactly like Emma - abused by the system, but in denial about just how bad it is. That they were both in modern dress strengthens the idea that nothing has changed - it's just as bad today, same thing.

I wonder (out loud)

...we know they are wrapping the series up this season. Could there be a sea change happening with the Emma Smith dream. Instead of asking for the courage of the prophet Joseph, Bill asks for the (patience/understanding/wisdom/strentgh? don't recall) of Emma--Emma who opposed polygamy and denied it happened.
Maybe Bill's attitude toward it is going to change?
