Anyone catch Electrick Children on Netflix?

I found the story watchable. Its about an isolated fundamentalist Mormon Family. Focused on a girl who claims her pregnancy is by immaculate conception. They never really resolve the mystery.

I find the spelling of Electrick interesting, combining elect and trick.

i watched that movie a few months ago. It was ok. Kind of sheds some light on the idea of how gullible mormons can be due to a extremist culture.

The girls family were show as more of FLDS than mainstream mormons.

My parents watched it on Netflix a few weeks ago. (I didnt watch it with them, & I don't know when I'll watch it.) Shockingly, my TBM mother loved it. She did say to my dad after watching it, "I don't know what kind of Mormons they were supposed to be though." Like the only real "Mormons" are of TSCC variety, in her opinion.

Thanks, that was interesting

in a strange, annoyingly quiet way. Super low energy. I wanted to shake all the characters.

I had forgotten about the song "For the Beauty of the Earth" and was amazed to find myself remembering the words as they were being sung, like the film was pulling them out of my brain. I must have sung that song in Primary, 40+ years ago.
