Is it just me, or do there seem to be an inordinate amount of old thread revival going on in the last few weeks?

I haven't noticed an up-tick, so much. But it sure causes me mental issues whenever it happens because I forget to look at the date.

Is it just me, or does it seem like it's usually trolls that revive them? Like they happened across a post from two years ago and can't right the urge to post a rebuttal? Maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems to be the pattern.

Most of them do seem to be hit and runs.

It seems when someone, usually a TBM searches for something (probably for a talk or lesson) they come across the board here as it's usually one of the top hits for mormon topics. They then read it, get horrified and have to call us to repentance, or at the very least "correct" us and point out that facts don't matter.

Oddly, Steve Benson's stuff is frequently revived by a "topping" account. This seems to happen randomly, though sometimes due to a recent topic of interest from one or more posts.

It's always best to do a quick date check on the main page to see when the OP happened or people end up giving advice to someone for something that happened years ago.

No reason not to. I've just noticed that we're having 1 every day or so, and that seems more than normal.

These old threads are just little flecks of history, ignore them. ;)

the old threads throw me off when I read one I especially liked and then notice it was written by xyz. The first time it happened, I was angry that someone had reused his moniker. Then I noticed the old date. I wish he could still post here. He was my favorite poster when I started reading a couple of years ago. :(
