I talking to my husband about something and he rolled his eyes, kind of dismissively. I said "That is so rude when you roll your eyes at what I say" and he replied "I can make you roll your eyes too" and then he said "You know what the prophet has to say about that subject."

FSM help me but I couldn't help rolling my eyes. Plenty of things about Mormonism frustrate me and a few make me mad but there are so many things about Mormonism just make me think "Oh brother."

Like people who have to check with their "inner prophet" before they can have an opinion about something. Or people who quote the Book of Abraham or call anyone Lamanites. Or my mom who is constantly talking about how wicked the world is becoming and how soon the Savior will be coming to clean things up. There are just too many of them. It's getting so I need to always wear dark sunglasses around TBMs.

- how soon the Savior will be coming to clean things up -

Sooo, they're on the Savior to come clean the toilets, too? Man, they must be desperate.

<afraid to roll eyes cause I just had cataract surgery>

Good one, CA girl. When it comes to Mormon beliefs, my eyes roll over like a pair of dice on a Vegas craps table.

Growing up, when my family gets together and start in on their alarmist conspiracy stuff, my eyes roll so far back in my head I can actually see my trachea.

Yikes.

The one thing that never fails to force my eyes skyward are urban legends presented as facts.

I have gained a few pounds. I was trying to eat a lower carb diet a few weeks ago. Someone said to me as I was eating chicken breast, salad with bacon crumbles: That's not the Word of Wisdom!

My most recent eye rolling moment was tonight when my sister said she was working to get back to the temple! I just wanted to shake the mormon right out of her :(

Like when Utah lawmakers were seriously debating a state bill about the changing the "Zion Curtain" law (law about how liquor is not to be seen when making drinks at resteraunts that also serve familes, Chilis, Applebees, etc)...and one law maker in chambers asks..."Has anyone talked to the LDS Church to see how they feel about this change?".....

Yea....(rolling eyes...)

And this was shown on a local news program...

I and another co worker, explained to another mormon co worker that based off of the Constitution, this NOT how to debate/enact laws and other states quit doing this years ago...I used President Kennedy as an example..a Catholic who many people thought would look to the Vatican and the Pope for guidance during his presidency and many people were afraid of this..

I can honestly say that the mormon co worker's light bulb went off in his head after we explained it as a secular issue...
