I learned a new word :) And the Borgias

So, I have been excited about the new Showtime series about the Borgias. Know some but I am going to study up so I understand it better. Ran into a word I have not seen before - Simony http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simony
I can see how this would apply to LDSInc.

Is anyone else planning on watching the Borgias?

How could any thinking person believe the church is engaging in anything other than Simony when they charge 10 percent of a person's income to qualify them to enter the temple which is the only place where the most important "sacraments" of the Mormon church are performed?

I am looking forward to the Borgias. Sounds great, but I hope it doesn't take too much license. Roderigo and Cesare were evil, but I hope they don't malign Lucrezia who was actually not guilty of much of the stuff she was accused of.
