Just, why? With them being so keen on keeping people in the church, why make it easier to resign by adding an email to resign by. I would hate to work there being a TBM, has to be greatly depressing.

And I know the email is relatively new, I wish I could find a statistic somewhere about how many resignations they get a day by email now.

Man I've been posting a lot today.

Because legally you can resign anyway. In person, phone call, in writing (to include email), carrier pigeon, etc.

They try to get around it by sending your request to straight to the bishop where he can try to pressure you to stay.

to get the numbers of inactives off the rolls because the ward budget is determined by active members and they've really CUT the ward budgets the past few years.
