Got this email today from a grumper:

"Why don't you work up one of your cartoons which points out the 'downside' of being a member of the Mormon church. I believe you were once a member of the Mormon church. Maybe provide us with 'Benson's View' of the Mormon faith as it exists in Colorado City."

Well, for the record, I have done cartoons on Warren Jeffs.

I find that when it comes to critical response to my doodled opinions, this maxim often applies: There are three kinds of memories--good, bad and convenient.

And trying to get the upper edge in the debate, they often are the ones who insert the least refuge of religion into the mix. I suppose it gives them and their go-tp god a sense of advantage in the battle against crayola wielders. Whatever..

Anywhoo, I wrote the protester back the following:

" . . . [I]f you don’t like the fact that I left the Mormon church, that is your problem, not mine."
