I watched it and thought it was really good. I hope a LOT of people watch it and that many find it interesting and informative without being scared off by the fact that it's science.

My son and I are going to watch the opening episode. Neil deGrass Tyson is a thinker we both respect. Long live Cosmos.

I thought it was great. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. It appears that the big bang and the billions of years of chaos was really messy in getting to what we have now in the cosmos.

I haven't watched it but IMO I'd prefer they steer clear of even mentioning religion and let the science stand for itself.

They did a pretty good job of blasting religion. I liked it, I'm tired of pandering to religions because they feel stupid when forced to face their own stupidity. Watched it with my 8 year old, and he loved it! I did have to explain why people would hurt someone who told the truth...I doubt I did it well, but he seemed to appreciate my attempt to explain something I don't understand myself
