Thought about this at breakfast while I was eating my cinnamon-raisin bagle.

Mormons are like fire ants:

1. They go about their business of making unsightly mounds (temples) at the drop of a hat.

2. Every little ant has a job, regardless of whether he's happy or not.

3. If you mess with them they'll bite you.

4. If you try to kill them off, they'll just move (Missouri to Utah).

5. Other ants (religions) hate them.

6. The queen is like the quorum of the 12 and the presidency. Lounges about all day doing nothing while all the ants bring her food and drink. About all she does is shit out stuff from time to time (okay, some of what she pushes out turns into other ants, but I digress).

7. All of the real workers are female.

8. There weren't any in America until the 1930's when they came on a boat from South America (man, think of all the analogies/similies in that).

9. When they see one another they have to stop and communicate something that nobody else understands.

10. Some colonies are polygynous. (had to add something "poly" here).

11. If you tear a piece of the BofM off and throw it on a fire ant mound, they will swarm it and take in underground. Same witht he bible, D&C and Pearl of Great Spice. They won't, however, take a torn off piece of Swank into the ground.
