I stayed in a certain hotel and defaced the BOM in it. Nothing vulgar, just pointed out some difficult truths about the book and its author. Can I get in trouble? I wanna do it again.
BoMs in hotels and LDS books in the book rack in my local grocery store. A simple 4X6 sheet with some key info and a few URLS would do and it avoids the defacing issue.
Print out a 4X6 piece of paper w/some vital info and websites.
I suggest you put some info that would educate tbms. I know when I was tbm and would see a BOM at a hotel, I would often thumb through it. Every exmo a missionary!
I don't think I'd write in one at a hotel, but I have slipped in papers that have this website's address on it, along with the word "questioning?" I've done that with lds oriented library books too. Never have in a bookstore though, because I've rarely seen any lds books for sale in bookstores in my area.
Hit the RACISM thing hardest! I think it will resonate most clearly with most people today. While the scientific and historical arguments are certainly valid, most of those individuals who would seriously consider joininh Mormonism (I'm betting, anyway) would be less swayed by objective considerations. However, the dark-skin-is-a-curse/Lamanites-are-filthy-and-loathsome claims of the BoM will offend just about any non-neo-nazi out there!
My brother peed on the Bible after he denounced religion, he was that pissed. LOL
(Sorry, don't mean to demean anyone's beliefs, I know he's going to Hell and so does he, but he's OK with that and so am I, the little sumsabitch. J/k, I love my bro but he does owe me a lot of money.)
