So, YBU kicks out students who gives up or changes their religion from mormonism to something else. OK, my question is, what about those non-member baptist students who give up being a baptist and become an episcopalian? Do they get kicked out also? If not, that seems like grounds for a lawsuit. I'm no lawyer, just sayin.

The pat answer is that BYU is a private religious institution that can essentially discriminate as it sees fit. The problem is that BYU takes federal funds. I don't know if that tension has been litigated.
