Why don't you move away from the bible belt?

If I were single I would move. Husbands job keeps me and my family here.

Me too.

If I didn't have a great job, I would be OUTTA HERE in a flash.

You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a fundy congregation around here.

It's just as bad for me as a Jew living in the "bah-bull belt" as a lot of people think I'm nothing but a heathen because I don't believe in Jeeeeeeeeee-zus!

That's why I will not live in that part of the country...It's bad enough in he 4 corner states.

Just can't put my finger on why they make my skin and cerebellum crawl.

Living an Atheist Life in the Bible Belt feels like.....the Born Agains think we Athiests are deaf.

This past weekend there were four people standing on the corner waving signs and YELLING. One of the signs read, "They didn't believe Noah either."

And one of the men was actually YELLING his repentance BS through a microphone so that was all we could hear as we were going into Walgreens. I almost ordered extra strength Excedrin for the headache from his shouting.

Maybe next time I should call the police and report them for noise pollution. And you know in Bible-Belt there will be a next time.

IMO proselytizing ones religion is so dierespectful.

You have to have a big swollen head to go around telling other people who or what they should worship, and telling them they are damned if they dont do as you say.

Even before I let go of god I thought missionaries were very rude.

I mostly shrug or laugh and go on my way. There's a certain power that comes from being a total outsider.
