To increase attendance and ratings of the Saturday afternoon session of General Conference, President Thomson "The Widows Love Me" Monson has proposed a showdown between any of the super-fly righteous Apostles of the Apocalypse, the Righteous Elders of the Big JC and a skeptic of your choosing.

Be it Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkings, Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett or some other Superstar Servant of Satan, the LDS Team of Wise Old Octogenarian (on avg) Sages (a.k.a. LDS Team WOOS) are ready to take them on in a 2 hour, everything goes match for your souls.

Who would you pick from both sides?

I'd buy a pay-per-view ticket to see Dallin H. Oaks, Henry B. Eyring and Slick-Pickle Bednar go up against Hitchens.

I'd like to see Richard Packham, Grant Palmer (although still a member) and Ken Clark take on Oaks, Packard and Bednar.

Here's my main event ticket:

Packer vs. James Randi
Holland vs. Richard Dawkins
Bednar vs. Sam Harris
Eyring vs. Christopher Hitchens

Packer is 4 years older than Randi, but Randi would skewer him!

Ah yes, the Great James 'Kick In the Credulous Balls' Randi :) Nice addition!

Particularly Matt Dillahunty or Tracie Harris. I'd really enjoy that exchange as they would immediately tear apart the fallacious arguments the instant they fell from the lips of these supposed "General Authorities".

This is not fair to the General Authorities. They have been practicing NOT using their brains for decades.

Besides, even a Christopher Hitchens considerably reduced by chemotherapy would mince a General Authority so fine that he'd blow away in a light breeze.

Hitchens has real (and earned) moral authority.

Still, I'd pay to see him flick the General Authorities away like the irritants they are.

And Penn Gillette.

Amen, OnceMore ("Hitchens has real (and earned) moral authority.")

I like Penn Gillette as well - great for his BS series and his general position as a skeptic/atheist.

And yes, it is unfair for the GAs who are so used to giving out milk to the suckling TBMs anytime they have to speak somewhere. But why do people go to NASCAR races? Yeah...there's a darkside to human nature ;)
