That's one of those things I wonder if TBM's ever get a chance to do-- something they've dreamed of, but are too busy to get a chance.

If you ever get a chance to operate a steam engine, go for it; I've ridden in a few diesels, but when your hand moves that lever and the locomotive gets rollng you remember why steam is king!

Maybe I can ask for that for my Birthday present? Last birthday was a trip to the National Brewery Museum, so a day driving a steam engine? There are two preserved steam lines not far from us. You have inspired me! The only possible issue is that I am colourblind, which is why I was not accepted for training to be an engine driver.

I someday hope to get behind the stick of a P-47 Thunderbolt and fulfill my childhood dream.
