Allie Condie's (a Mormon) new novel "Matched" appeals to the same audience as Meyer's "Twilight" books, but takes a sly slap at Mormon culture. Set in the future, the young woman lives in a very structured society, but rebels. Excellent review in this weekend's Wall Street Journal at http://is.gd/hV7Ya .

How long will it take Mormons to figure out that this Mormon novelist is criticizing their culture?

I think this is the wrong link. It's for the NY times article.

I read an advanced copy of her book, it is not bad. I read it from a mormon/exmormon perspective knowing she was from Utah and think she at least has some freethinking thoughts. From a comment she made about wine during a speech, I suspect she is not entirely Mormon.
