Unity is a very positive church. I have attended many times, three different congregations. The Course of Miracles is not part of their church teachings, but is often taught there or in Religious Science churches which are both considered "new thought" churches. Metaphysically oriented subjects are often explored at Unity churches.
I have received some of their free literature and calendars, and I agree they are very positive and friendly. They seem to be actually spiritual and not just religious...there is a difference. I really love getting stuff from them! Am waiting on a few now...
