A girl I know from high school has gotten married

She married a guy with his last name being the same as his first. Now her name is just sounds stupid now. This sounds like a rushed mormon marriage.

I dont get it

Why would marrying a guy with the same last name as his first (I have ancestors like that) make HER name silly?

Regardless of whether she is living in the past and took his name, or kept her own, how does HER name now sound silly?

Maybe poster meant to write his last name is the same as her first, like maybe now her name is Verilee Verilee. I say unto you, that does sound pretty stupid, but she could just go by Lee.

I took my husband's silly last name that no one knows how to spell or pronounce. How sad would it be to walk away from a good match just because of a silly name? But I also CHOSE to change my last name; it's not a requirement.

BTW, my grandma and grandpa's names were Bill and Billie and their best friends were a married couple named Don and Donna. How's that for silly? :)
