Mormonism contributes to a twisted sense of history

This article isn't about mormons but mentions Glenn Beck's influence. I have TBM family members who follow Beck's ideas about America as if he were a prophet.

The Book of Mormon teaches a distorted history of righteous whites and wicked dark skins. Patriarchal blessings give white members the tribe of Ephraim. Native American patriarchal blessings give Manasseh. Ephraim has the birthright over Manasseh. Mormonism, where whites dominate because god said so.

Well, I suppose you could say Beck is as nutty as Smith

People followed Joseph Smith. Beck could get quite a following. When I was young everybody was following Cleon Skousen, it seemed.
