OMFG!!! In the Senior Sampler from St George is an ad. "Noah's Ark Built in Utah. Metal tablets created by Noah, could identify the Motherland of Adam. RSVP bmsf@mac.com." What the hell is wrong with these idiots?

Most Mormons that I have met have very little real knowledge about the Bible and Biblical Archaeology. And the worst of the lot come up with shite like this.

It's probably the Wasatch Fault, which looks like a terrace in places.

If the earth is only 6,000 years old then it can't be Lake Bonneville or the Wasatch fault because they are much older.

Nope, it was the great flood and I'm pretty sure the remnants of the Ark are in a gully just west of Thatcher, Utah.

So, he built it out of pinon and juniper? It must have taken about a 1000 acre clear cut.

Might've been a lot more quaking aspen, doug fir, engelmann spruce, and ponderosa pine in the Wasatch hills... Might've only needed a quarter that acreage...

And there's linguistic evidence in the Bible as well with the claim the Ark was built of "gopher wood."

One day Noah was cold, and he told his kid, "go fer wood, okay?"

This one even makes claims about Abel's grave and rocks from Manti matching rocks in Turkey.

"Gopherwood" is Reformed Egyptian for Fiberglass.

that some Mormons will believe ANYTHING no matter how outrageously ridiculous it is.

I have it on good authority that the "cubit" was outlawed in Utah in 1868 because Brigham Young devined in General Conference that the word "cubit", when properly translated, means a "rake, or 'ladies' aid' as associated with billiards'."

He went on to sing a lame-assed rendition of "We got trouble...right here in River City... "

Just sayin'...
