What's the scoop on Michael Young?

It has been reported by the Deseret News that Michael Young may be on the short list for the open position of president at the University of Washington, my alma mater.

He's obviously been a TBM for years but I'm curious about recently. He filed for divorce from his wife of 38 years last June and then I saw a picture of him from last July, sporting a full beard--
