no soulmates, no sensuality even in marriage, everybody up and remarries within a year of spouses' death, etc. romance is dead in mormonism. why?

Because a stronger bond to something or someone else than to the church means the church can't hold you.

The number one purpose of marriage in the mormon world is to get you into gods good graces.

You cannot enter into heaven without it.

Marriage is first and formost, a business arrangement.

Romance is a distant second.

All youth gatherings, camps, conferences and dances... all meat markets. All singles activities: Meat markets.

Scoping out the market, trying to look as cute as you can, hook the best looking, most worthy potential mate and marry his ass as quick as possible.

If you are in your 20's and not married, there must be something seriously wrong with you. Or if you don't want to get married too quick and you hold off on all this, all the 'good ones' will be taken and you might end up on your own..

So you see, there is no time for romance!
Geesh...

Because it leads women to question the joys of polygamy!

The Church wants it's members to marry as soon as possible.

This is because there is very little for single Mormons to get involved in. At Ward functions and social gatherings they are usually the odd one out.

The Church knows there are lots of exciting things for single people outside the Church.

Getting people married quickly means keeping people in Church which in turns keeps sales up (tithing).

Yes, the church wants to trap you in a relationship where you both pressure each other to be perfect tithe-paying Mormons, without questioning and before you branch out and discover the truth of the church. Activity even is now based on if you pay your tithing. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TITHING. In my opinion, the church doesn't really even foster a healthy atmosphere for healthy relationships between sexes. They would rather just have you get married ASAP so you can pop out babies and brainwash them as well into being tithe payers. I could go on, but thinking about the church in this regard is making me angry.

For Mormonism marriage is only about one thing, manufacturing children, for SLC, for Utah and the corridor, and for the church. Producing students for BYU or Rick's, so that they can attract grants and support the Deserete economy.

We are just baby factories.

The more BIC babies the more chance of growing sales.

Mormonism is all about the money.
