I was talking about wine yesterday with a friend... and a memory came back to me from a RS Sunday lesson.

The lady teaching was a convert from the 70's or so. She and her husband had never drank before they joined the LDS church... and this is her conversion story.

They had a group of friends who were into, as she says, "the wine scene" and they had decided to have a dinner party and they bought their first wine ever... and they were unsure of the decision... and of course they were on the hunt for a new church.

So they buy the wine, and an extra bottle because they wanted to try the wine before the party, and as they were opening the bottle... dun dun dun.. you guessed it.. the mishies came knocking.

And then and there they "knew without a shadow of a doubt" that this was a true church and god had saved them from going down a bad path.

*sigh* and of course everyone was like "oh that is so amazing and special"

*GAG* anywho...

What is the 'wine scene'? People that like to eat at nice restaurants and enjoy a glass of wine with their food? Oh, those evil people!!! lol

Jesus drank wine. I love how the LDS church refuses to acknowledge that fact in the sacrement, despite it being in all four of the gospel books.
