I'm wondering if they really are that efficient. I know they are efficient, but when about 75% of Japanese LDS are inactive I wonder if they really were able to contact 99% of the members that fast.
As I recall, years ago, most new baptized members disappeared and we lost contact with them. Maybe they keep better records now.
