I assume that after refusing the font 2 times in 3 wks., they won't give up. was in a book store today, saw the 2 mishies and they invited me to the local lds church to watch pts. of the conference which is happening in Utah. Maybe, it was just coincidental running into them, there, but I was surprised to be invited to see this. Not too much conversation about cancellation(s) of baptism, just shocked b/c i am not a member of lds. and getting invited to watch. (which you can do on computer @ home, if you'd like) i don't look to watch. I just said thanks for the invitation.

They invited you to conference because they are hoping to get you to listen to living profits of gawd. They hope that if you go your desire to become mormon will be rekindeled. Conference is widley believed to the ability to macicky influence the pure of heart. Oh, and they get to count your attendence on thier statistics.

Didn't see the aggressiveness, today. Just the invite. (guess they like bookstores, retail places to scout people as well)I don't see me attending. It looks as if they record anytime they even speak or try to speak w/someone, huh?? The conference doesn't appear too exciting in my eyes.

It's about as exciting as watching grass NOT grow.

Seriously, it's a bunch of old guys droning on and on in the most boring monotone voice imaginable. The talks will be about paying tithing, listening to the prophet, paying tithing, getting your food storage (because of the earthquake in Japan), paying tithing, avoiding porn, reactivating your inactive relatives, and did I mention, paying tithing.

Rather than go to the wardhouse and watch, just come here and find out what was said - free of any commitment.

No they wouldn't, Deb!

They would demand 10% of your unemployment.

Don't even go. You'll just see a bunch of talking heads spouting bullshit and you'll end up sleeping before you know it anyway!

I was informed(in the bookstore) for the 2nd time in 1 and a half wks. that the former LE, who is now ZL app. 75 miles away, asked about me. (he leaves mission in 2 months) offered to do whatever he needed to for baptism concerning myself. you know that being a mis. for almost 2 yrs. you are going to ask about 1 person. yeah, right.

I guess being in a small town, it is easier to run into someone. I'm preparing to move to a metropolitan city soon and i guess you don't see or hear as much out of them.
