My ex is a huge BYU sports fan and so are my two boys. There aren't very many Mormon celebs (at least the kind TSCC likes to promote) so I can see why the adulation is at a fever pitch, but still......

Now all he needs to do is stop attending church.

I found out from a mormon guy that there is an age limit for guys (and girls?) to go on missions. I think the max age is 22yrs old until you retire then you can go on more missions.

Like I've told other people...when the "spirit" hits you and prompts you to do work for God, there's no age, gender, or race limitations put on the people.....

Do you guys get a sense that this will be like Steve Young all over again. Girls will be swearing that they were asked about by Jimmer.

"Guess what roommates, I was at the University Mall, and I saw this cute guy approach me, and he said his name was Jimmer and he asked me out!"

OOOOOOOHHHHH AAAAAAAHHHHHH!

What kind of a name is "Jimmer", anyway? Every time I see it, I think of South Park when Timmy yells "Jimmah!"

I find the name "Jimmer" hilarious as well. Growing up jimmer/jimmy was slang for a condom.

I think James if a family name, and they call his father "Jim" so to avoid confusion his mom dubbed him "Jimmer". Makes sense to me.

Ronnie (Mom called me that)

Celebrities are a big f-ing deal when spotting them is rare. When you see one all the time, eh, no big deal.
