A tangential thought about Reed Benson.

I took a New Testament class from Reed Benson at BYU in the mid '90s. At the time I was a little starstruck thinking that I was taking a class from the son of a living prophet.

If I remember right he gave us all (a classroom of about 200 students) one shot at coming to thanksgiving dinner if we had no other place to go. I wonder if that offer is still good. If so, what an interesting conversation we could have.

I wonder if many others took him up on the offer...

I took a Book of Mormon class from him. He had some weird juice made from the root of an exotic plant, and he said if you drank some you would never get cancer. It tasted like dirt, but I haven't gotten cancer!
I don't know how interesting the conversation would be. Poor old guy, he probably wouldn't have a clue what you were talking about.
