I don't know if there is any way to find out for sure. I'll bet he's learned his lesson with the Paul H. Dunn scandal and stays close to what could be called a romanticized truth. Anyone close enough to him to nitpick it wouldn't do so because they are loyal to the "prophet". Most of his exaggerations are overlooked because they believe he's either telling the truth or because, like grandpa, he's getting old and needs to be indulged with his stories of walking five miles to school every day, uphill, both ways.
