Random Mission Memory

Missionaries. 20 years old. Isolated from women. And as horny as the day is long. Sound familiar my brother RM's?

I always found it humorous that elders would speak in hushed and humbled tones about how difficult it was to get ready for the mission because they had so much repenting to do.

They would often offer details of their sexual exploits in order to illustrate how much repenting they had to do. Of course it was all for the purpose of demonstrating their current righteous humility...


(Did you Sister RM's ever "brag" about how much repenting you had to do?)

Whenever I heard fellow missionaries talking about their former sexual experiences, and the "repentance process," I thought they were bragging about the SEX not their current "righteousness."

The other missionaries loved to listen to the stories too

It seemed, so often, that they were buying into the "it was so tough to get here" theme, but really just enjoying hearing the elder brag about his history.
